Poland - Krakow

A lot of the Krakow Fortress was built by the Austrians in the 1800s. Much of the early defensive structures were replaced by a ring of city gardens called the Planty. The Barbican from the 1400s along with St Florian’s Gate and three towers luckily escaped demolition.
